BizTalk Server Services are not supported to be used with the Windows 2000 Advanced Server Clustering Services. You can, however, install SQL Server in a clustered environment. If you do so, you will need to install the SQL Client Tools on the BizTalk Server 2000 server in order to be able to communicate to SQL Server properly. To install the SQL Client Tools, simply insert the SQL Server CD-ROM into the BizTalk server and begin the SQL Server setup. However, rather than choosing the typical or custom setup options, make sure to select
Install Client Tools. This will provide the required connectivity to the clustered SQL server. You need to make sure that you have configured the network library to TCP/IP on both the SQL server and during the installation of the SQL Client Tools. Please refer to the BizTalk documentation on changing the default network library on your SQL servers.
