Q: I attempted to delete a BizTalk server from the BizTalk Server Group in the BizTalk Server Administration Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in and received the following error message: "The server cannot be deleted because of a failure returned from the BizTalk Server WMI provider:The "MACHINENAME" server cannot be deleted because it is the processing server for at least one receive function."What is the problem, and what can I do to fix it?
A: BizTalk Server requires that each receive function is assigned to a processing server. If you need to delete a BizTalk server from the BizTalk Server Group, you must either delete the receive function or functions that are assigned to that BizTalk server, or reassign the receive function to another BizTalk server in the same BizTalk Server Group.
