To increase the performance of the BizTalk Orchestration Services, Microsoft recommends changing the default threading model from Apartment Threaded to Both. This allows for multiple threads per process, which can dramatically increase the number of threads BizTalk Server can create to handle the required workload. Microsoft has supplied a Registry file to assist with this process. Using Windows Explorer, browse to Program Files | Common Files | System | ado, and then double-click adofre15.reg. A confirmation dialog box will appear; click Yes, and then click OK. For a more detailed discussion of threading models, please review this TechNet Article: www.microsoft.com/NTServer/ appservice/techdetails/prodarch/DCOM/5_ConcurrencyMgmt.asp.
