You are not limited in your use of breakpoints and run to cursor when you start debugging.
You can have multiple breakpoints. If you are at one breakpoint and want to move to another, choose the menu command Debug | Continue. Execution will continue until the code reaches the next breakpoint. Similarly, you can run to a cursor, set the cursor further in your code, and run to that cursor.
You also can combine breakpoints and run to cursor. For example, you can go to a breakpoint, choose Run To Cursor, and execution will continue until the cursor point is reached. Conversely, you can first run to a cursor, and then go to a breakpoint using the menu command Debug | Continue.
In general, so long as you are in break mode, you can use breakpoints and run to cursor at any point in the debugging process.
