Create a Server Application

Just as you've seen how you can create VB6 applications that use .NET functionality through Web Services, the reverse is also true: You can expose COM component functionality through Web Services and consume them from .NET applications. If you're migrating existing applications to .NET, it may be easier to add Web Service functionality to existing components than to rewrite and retest all the logic in those components. It's also possible that you may already have COM-based Web Service components, so it's good to know that you can consume them from .NET applications.
